If you're experiencing poor call quality, Beside offers two built-in tools to help you assess your connection. These let you quickly test your Wi-Fi or cellular network and switch if needed.
Switch networks during a call
If you're on a call and suspect network issues, you can switch from Wi-Fi to cellular without hanging up.
While on a call, tap the network icon in the top-right corner of the screen
Choose Call with cellular network
If needed, tap Hang up and call with cellular
The call will redial using your cellular connection and continue to be recorded.
Test your network from Settings
You can check your current network strength at any time using the built-in test in the Beside mobile app.
Open the Beside mobile app
Go to Settings → scroll down to Test Your Network
Tap Begin Test
This test evaluates whether your Wi-Fi or cellular connection is strong enough for high-quality calls.
💡 Poor results? Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data, moving to a location with better signal, or restarting your router. If call quality issues persist after switching networks, reach out to our support team via the in-app chat - we can access your test data to help investigate further.

Call quality can also be affected by the other person's connection, not just yours. If your test results are good and the issue persists, ask the other person to check their connection. You can also try switching from Wi-Fi to cellular or vice versa to see if that improves audio.
