Keep your business information accurate

Your Beside Business Profile is the single source of truth for your business. Update your details, hours, service areas, team, and price book, and resolve disagreements between your connected sources.

Your Business Profile is the single source of truth for your business. Everything Beside writes and publishes starts from what is on this page: your website, your Receptionist, your Google listing, and your ads.

If something is wrong here, it is wrong everywhere. This is the first page to check when Beside says something inaccurate about your business.

What your Business Profile covers

Open Business Profile under Brand in the left menu. It has six sections:

Section

What it holds

Where Beside uses it

Business Details

Business Name, Business Type, Industry, and About the Business

Everywhere Beside describes your business: your website, your Receptionist, and your ads

Contact Information

Email address, website, address, and your Official Phone Number

The details your customers see, including on your website and your Google listing

Business Hours

When you are open, day by day

Booking, after-hours replies, and your public listings

Service Areas

The cities, neighborhoods, and ZIP codes you serve

Your website, your landing pages, and your Google listing

Team

Who works here, their roles, and when they work

Booking, and answering customers who ask for someone by name

Product Catalog

Your price book, in two versions

See the section below

A blue dot next to a section means something there needs your attention.

When your sources disagree

Beside reads your business information from every source you have connected, for example your Google Business Profile and Beside Phone. Those sources do not always say the same thing.

When they disagree, Beside shows you both values instead of picking one silently:

  1. Open the section with the warning, for example Business Details

  2. Compare the values, each labelled with the source it came from

  3. Choose the correct one and select Use this everywhere

Beside then updates everything it can for you, and lists any steps you need to finish yourself.

Beside may also raise the disagreement itself, as a plan waiting on your Beside Agent page. It tells you the value it recommends, why that source is the most authoritative one it has, and what the other values on file are, so all you have to do is approve. 📖 See what Beside did for you

💡 Worth fixing early: A business name or opening hours that differ between Google and your own listings hurt how you rank in local search. Resolving a disagreement here fixes it in every place at once.

Your Product Catalog

Beside keeps two versions of your price book, on purpose:

  • In your CRM is your operational catalog, used for quoting and scheduling. Beside does not change it.

  • For your customers is a shorter, clearer version used on your website and by Beside Phone.

You need a CRM price book before Beside can create the customer-facing version. If none is available, connect your CRM, then select Check connected sources.

Refresh your connected sources

Select Check connected sources at any time to have Beside re-read your connected accounts. The date and time of the last check are shown underneath.

FAQ

Beside told a caller something wrong about my business. Where do I fix it?

Start with your Business Profile. Your Receptionist, your website, and your ads all describe your business from what is on that page, so correcting it there corrects it everywhere.

Beside says it could not check my website. What does that mean?

Some websites block automated access. When that happens, Beside cannot read your site to confirm your details, and you will see a message under the Website field in Contact Information. Your profile still works, but you will need to keep those details up to date yourself.

What is my Official Phone Number used for?

It is the number customers should know you by. Beside shows it on your website and on your Google listing.
