Add your own documents to Beside

Your Library is what your agent reads and reuses: your own notes, files and photos, plus the research and reports Beside writes as it works.

Your Library holds the notes, files, and images your agent can read and reuse. Anything you put there, Beside can draw on when it writes, answers a caller, or plans its next move.

It works both ways: Beside also files its own work there, so the Library doubles as the record of what your agent has learned about your business.

Add a document

Open Library, in the Brand section of the left menu, then select Add. Beside accepts eight kinds of input:

Option

What it does

Write or paste

Type or paste text and Markdown

PDF

Upload a PDF, Beside reads and summarizes it

Voice memo

Record or upload audio, Beside transcribes it

Photo or image

Business cards, whiteboards, receipts, screenshots

Google Doc

Paste a share link, set so anyone with the link can view

Google Sheet

Paste a share link to import spreadsheet data

Excel or CSV

Upload a .xlsx, .xls, or .csv file

Website

Import content from a public URL

💡 Good things to add: Your price list, your warranty terms, the answers you find yourself repeating on the phone, a photo of the whiteboard where your real availability lives, or a voice memo recorded between two jobs.

Your images

The Images tab holds every picture Beside has of your business - the ones you added and the ones it gathered from your site, your Instagram and your Google Business Profile.

They are sorted by what they actually show, with a count for each, so you can filter down to the ones you need:

Category

Category

Team Headshot

Customer UGC

Work Sample

Stock Generic

Other

This is what lets Beside put a photo of your team on your About page and a photo of your work on a service page, rather than scattering them at random.

💡 Worth a look early on: If Stock Generic is large and Work Sample is small, your online presence is showing stock photography instead of your actual work. Adding a handful of real job photos changes what your website and your listing can show.

What Beside files there itself

Beside writes its own findings into the Library as it works, in plain readable documents rather than dashboards. The ones you are most likely to see:

Document

What is in it

Weekly Digest

What Beside handled this week, what moved, and how your phone line did

Funnel Audit

Where your business is winning and where it is leaking, stated bluntly

Beside Conversation Insights

What your calls reveal - how many came in, how many were answered, how many your Receptionist took

CRM Insights

What Beside can read from your customer system, and what that system does not expose

Monthly Reputation Report

New reviews, your rating, replies sent, and how your review requests are doing

Website content

The offerings and prices Beside will publish on your site

Google Ads: Market Coverage

One per market: what customers there search for, how much of it there is, what a click costs, and where you rank

Google Ads: Call-Reason Keyword Seeds

The words your real callers use for their problem, mined from your own inbound calls

They are worth reading. The Funnel Audit in particular says things most owners never hear put plainly - for example that you are winning the hard part, being found and doing skilled work, and losing the easy part: answering the phone, following up, collecting.

Some of them are yours to correct

A document Beside writes from what it read about you is a draft, not a verdict. Where that is the case, the document says so at the top - Edit anything below before publishing; your changes win over what we read.

Website content is the one to check first: it holds the services and prices that will appear on your site. If Beside guessed a price wrong, correcting it here is how you fix it everywhere.

FAQ

What is the difference between the Library and my Business Profile?

Your Business Profile holds the structured facts about your business: name, hours, service areas, team, price book. The Library holds everything else, in whatever shape it comes in. Beside uses both, and both sit under Brand.

Why is my Library already full?

Because your agent's first pass writes into it. Reading your site, sizing up competitors, mapping search demand and collecting your photos all produce documents, so the Library has something in it before you have added anything yourself.

Why bother adding anything if Beside already researched me?

Because Beside can only read what is written down somewhere. Your callout fee, the brand of boiler you refuse to work on, the fact that you do not do Sundays - none of that is on your website or your Google listing. Put it in the Library and it stops being something only you know.
