Beside works in the background, all day, every day. Beside Agent is where you see everything Beside did, is doing, needs from you, and has planned.
Nothing happens off the record. Every task keeps a full account of what was decided, what was carried out, and what came of it.
Your first pass
The first thing you see, right after you subscribe, is First pass on your business: the eight jobs Beside works through to get to know you, with a counter showing how many are done.
Each line starts as Queued, and opens to show you what it produced once it lands. So you can watch your website get built, rather than wonder whether anything is happening. 📖 How Beside works
Find your way around
Select Beside Agent under Agents in the left menu. When your agent is busy, you will see Working and how many jobs are in progress.
Three buttons sit at the top: Plan & Credits with your balance, Autonomy, and Download Audit.
The page itself has two parts:
Live, everything in play right now: whatever is waiting on your answer, whatever Beside is working on, and the recurring work coming up. Anything that needs you sorts to the top, marked Waiting on you.
Done, everything already finished, most recent first.
Every item is tagged with the part of Beside it belongs to - Website, Ads, Beside Phone, Google Business - so you can tell at a glance what a task is for, and dated so you can see how long it has been sitting there.
Answer what is waiting on you
Anything marked Waiting on you has Skip and Approve on the right. You can answer straight from the list - but the whole reasoning is one click away, and worth reading the first few times.
Opening a plan shows you:
What Beside will do, in plain words, with the evidence behind it - for example callers repeatedly ask about rescheduling an appointment, 9 recent calls, but it isn't on the site
Why this value, when Beside is choosing between sources, along with the other values it found and where each came from
Done when, the condition Beside will use to decide the job is finished
Where Beside has proposed a specific value, you can revise it rather than approving or skipping outright.

Manage recurring work
Under Live you will also find the jobs Beside runs on a cycle, for example Website Health Monitor weekly or Optimize Google Ads every three days.
Open one to see What this automation does in full, its Cadence, its Next run and Last run, and how many items it currently has queued.
If you would rather it stopped for now, select Pause automation. That turns off this one job and leaves everything else running.
Follow a task
Open any finished item and Beside shows you four things:
Where it stands, the status and what it means
What happened, in one sentence, usually with a link out to the thing that changed, for example View specific review
What happened next, whether the work led anywhere, for example No customer response, booking, or payment has been observed yet

Statuses you will see:
Status | What it means |
Queued | Lined up, not started yet |
Done | The work went through, and the tool on the other end confirmed it |
Paused (out of credits) | The work is ready but your balance reached zero. Nothing is lost - Beside keeps checking and sends it as soon as credits are there. |
Replaced before completion | Something replaced or cancelled this task before Beside finished it, so Beside has no proof it completed |
Couldn't complete | Beside tried and the tool at the other end would not let it finish. Check Connectors for anything marked Needs attention - an expired connection is the usual cause. |
💡 A stalled job is not a lost job: Beside checks its own work and picks up anything that stopped part-way, so you do not have to restart things by hand.
Check the audit trail
Every task carries an Audit details section, so you can always answer the question who decided this.
Who approved it says plainly whether you approved it or whether Beside acted under the autonomy you granted.
Underneath, a Timeline records each step with its source and timestamp, from the moment execution was authorized through to the receipt certified by the tool at the other end. Technical references at the bottom hold the identifiers our support team may ask you for.
Download Audit at the top of the page saves the latest audit of your business.
Hand your agent a job
The box at the bottom of the page lets you give Beside a task in your own words instead of waiting for it to schedule one - useful when you are already looking at what it is doing.

You do not have to keep checking
Your agent can text you what needs an answer, and you can approve or turn it down by replying - without opening the app at all.

Everything finished stays under Done. Beside also writes up its own work for you: an end-of-day report each evening, and a Weekly Digest filed in your Library, so you have a written record of each week. 📖 Add your own documents to Beside
