How do I export all of my data from Beside?

Learn how to request a full export of your Beside data.

Beside does not yet offer an in-app “Download all my data” button.

However, you can request an export, and our Support team can generate it for you.

📱 Note:

The data export request feature is only available in the mobile app. It is not available on macOS.


📁 What’s included in a data export?

When you request an export, Beside can provide:

  • All your contacts

  • All your messages (SMS and internal messages)

  • All your calls (including timestamps & metadata)

Each category is delivered as a separate CSV file, inside a ZIP archive.


📤 How to request your data

  1. Open the Beside app

  2. Go Help & Support

  3. Start a conversation with Support

  4. Type: “I’d like to export my data”

Our team will process your request and send you a ZIP file containing all your available data.


🔒 Important: About call recordings

Here’s what you need to know about exporting call audio.

1️⃣ Call recordings cannot be downloaded

At this time, call recordings cannot be exported or downloaded out of Beside.

This is due to important legal and privacy considerations, including:

  • surveillance/wiretapping concerns

  • rules around redistributing recorded audio

  • cross-jurisdiction privacy compliance

We understand this may be frustrating in certain scenarios.

Our team is evaluating safe options for the future, and we’ll notify users if this ever becomes available.

2️⃣ What you can export instead: call summaries

Even though audio downloads aren’t supported, users can share or export the AI call summaries.

To share a call summary:

  1. Open the summary card

  2. Tap Copy Link or Email

  3. Share the secure web link with clients, teammates, or yourself
