You can replay any call recording directly inside Beside. This lets you review conversations whenever you need, without managing external audio files. Downloading call audio is not currently supported.
Listen to a call recording
On the web app
Go to app.beside.com and sign in
In the Phone Numbers section of the sidebar, click the line the call belongs to
Open the Calls tab and click the call you want to listen to
Open the Call Details tab and click Listen in the Recording section
On the mobile app
Open the Inbox tab in the Beside mobile app
Tap the conversation
Find the Phone Call card in the thread
Tap the Play icon at the bottom of the card to replay the call
Recordings remain available as long as the conversation exists.
Why downloading is not supported
To ensure privacy and compliance, Beside keeps call audio accessible only inside the app. You cannot export or download raw audio files.

Share call summaries instead
Even though you can't export raw audio, you can still share key information using call summaries:
Open the summary card for the call
Tap Copy Link or Email to share it
This is useful for follow-ups, collaboration, or record-keeping.

Call audio cannot be downloaded, even for compliance, legal, or complaint purposes. This restriction exists because of surveillance/wiretapping laws and cross-jurisdiction privacy compliance.
In most cases, the AI-generated call summary is sufficient documentation. To share it, open the summary card and tap Copy Link or Email. The link can be shared with clients, legal counsel, or compliance teams.
