Beside does not yet offer a dedicated Apple Watch app. However, you will still receive certain notifications on your watch depending on your iOS notification settings.

Here’s what works today, and what doesn’t.

At the moment, incoming Beside calls will not ring on your Apple Watch.

This is a known limitation related to to Apple’s system architecture for third-party calling apps on iOS and watchOS.

Incoming Beside calls will not trigger a ring or full call screen on Apple Watch (similar to how it works for other third-party apps like WhatsApp and Messenger).

So while your iPhone will ring normally for Beside calls, your Apple Watch will not display or ring for the call. You cannot receive, answer or decline Beside calls from the watch.

Push notifications for messages (voicemails, texts, etc.) from Beside do appear on your Apple Watch, so you’ll still be alerted to important activity.

Apple now expects apps to build dedicated Apple Watch apps in order to provide a full call experience on the watch itself.

This means apps like Beside would need to build a specific watchOS version of the app to enable full call functionality - something we’re keeping on our radar as we monitor demand.
