Can I receive calls on my Apple Watch?
At the moment, Beside calls do not ring directly on your Apple Watch. This is a known limitation related to how Apple handles third-party calling apps through iOS and watchOS.
Incoming Beside calls will not trigger a ring or full call screen on Apple Watch (similar to how it works for other third-party apps like WhatsApp and Messenger).
However, push notifications for messages (voicemails, texts, etc.) from Beside do appear on your Apple Watch, so you’ll still be alerted to important activity.
Why don’t calls ring on my Apple Watch?
Apple now expects apps to build dedicated Apple Watch apps in order to provide a full call experience on the watch itself.
This means apps like Beside would need to build a specific watchOS version of the app to enable full call functionality - something we’re keeping on our radar as we monitor demand.
What can I do?
For now, you’ll receive Beside push notifications on your Apple Watch, but not incoming call rings.
