Beside subscriptions are billed on a recurring cycle (monthly or yearly). This article explains how billing works, what happens with mid-cycle changes, and how to check your billing status.
How your billing cycle works
Your billing cycle starts on the day you first subscribe (or the day your free trial ends). You're charged on the same date each month (for monthly plans) or each year (for yearly plans).
After canceling, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. You won't be charged again, but you keep full access until that date.
Check your billing status
On mobile
Open the Beside mobile app
Go to Settings
Tap Your Account, then Plan and Billing
On web
Or click Settings, then Plan & Billing in the left sidebar
This shows your current plan (Beside subscription, π€ Starter, or π₯ Business), billing frequency, renewal date, and billing email.
Mid-cycle changes
How mid-cycle changes work depends on your plan.
On the Beside subscription
You can add or remove seats and lines anytime from app.beside.com/settings/billing.
π‘ Proration:
Adding a seat or line charges a prorated amount immediately for the rest of your current billing cycle, then the new total at your next renewal.
Removing a seat or line takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

On legacy π€ Starter or π₯ Business
The π€ Starter β π₯ Business upgrade/downgrade flow is available on Apple and Google Play subscriptions only. On Stripe, π€ Starter is being migrated to the Beside subscription.
Upgrading from π€ Starter to π₯ Business
The change takes effect immediately. You'll be charged the prorated difference for the remaining time in your current billing period, then the full π₯ Business price on your next renewal date.
Downgrading from π₯ Business to π€ Starter
The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep π₯ Business features until then.
Switch between monthly and yearly billing
You can switch between monthly and yearly billing. The change typically takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Check your plan settings for the exact timing.
