Beside plan - the current plan, available to everyone. This includes new subscribers, customers migrated from the previous Stripe Starter plan, and customers who were on the previous Starter plan via the App Store or Google Play (now relabeled as Beside plan inside the app).

If you originally subscribed via the App Store or Google Play, your store receipt may still show "Starter" - this is the historical name on Apple's and Google's side. Your plan is the Beside plan, with all features unlocked. Nothing about your plan or pricing has changed.

On the Beside mobile app, the plan-management screen (Settings β Plan & Billing) may still show the old name Starter instead of Beside plan. On Android, you may also still see a Business option listed there. This is a display difference only - it's being updated in an upcoming app release.
Your plan, pricing, and features are unchanged - every feature is included, with no feature gating. Beside on the web already shows the Beside plan name.

The Beside plan is Beside's current plan. One simple model: pay per seat, get one phone line per seat included, add extra lines if you need more. Every feature is included for every subscriber - no feature gating, no tiers, no bundles.

Seats are managed explicitly by your organization admin from either the Beside mobile app or Beside on the web. Your seat count can be higher than the number of users currently on the org - you can reserve seats in advance for teammates you'll invite later.
Each seat unlocks 1 phone line at no extra cost.
Phone lines are billed automatically based on the number of phone numbers on your account. If you have more phone numbers than seats, the extra lines are charged at $4.99/month each - no separate line management needed.
Example: an org with 3 seats and 5 phone numbers pays 3 Γ $29.99 + 2 Γ $4.99 = $99.95/month. The 3 seats cover 3 phone lines; the 2 extra numbers are billed as additional lines.
Solo or team, the pricing logic is the same. No bundled tiers.

If you originally subscribed via the App Store or Google Play on what was then called Starter, your plan is now the Beside plan. Your plan, pricing, and billing platform are unchanged - Apple or Google still handles the billing. There are several reasons this can happen (in-app upgrades, resubscribing after a billing issue, legacy plans, and more). Identify your scenario first to know what to cancel and where to request the refund.
This can happen if you upgraded or modified your plan on a different platform than where you originally subscribed (for example, subscribing on Apple but managing on Google). It can also happen if you added a seat or line through the in-app checkout but didn't cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription afterward.
Check whether you have both an active App Store or Google Play subscription and a Beside (Stripe) subscription, and cancel the App Store or Google Play one.

Your price, billing cycle, and payment method stay exactly the same. No action needed on your end.
You now have access to every feature at no extra cost, including features that may have been gated before: AI Call Transfer, CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Follow Up Boss, Monday), Zapier, AI email summaries, and AI follow-up email drafts.
If you were on Stripe billing: future invoices show "Beside" as the plan name instead of "Starter". Your billing continues with Stripe.
If you were on Apple or Google billing: your App Store or Google Play receipt may still show "Starter" - this is the historical product name on Apple's and Google's side. Your plan is the Beside plan with all features unlocked.

Your call history, transcripts, and conversation data remain visible in the app. If you downgrade, additional lines become inactive (not deleted) and line-specific settings are hidden until you upgrade again.

If your plan is still managed by Apple or Google, the web app will show a "Your plan is managed on Mobile" notice. Click Switch to Web Billing to move your billing to Beside first - after that, you'll be able to update your payment method from the same page.
Where are my invoices sent?

It depends on how you subscribed. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, invoices and receipts are handled by the App Store or Google Play - check your purchase history there. If you upgraded through the in-app Stripe checkout or the web app, Stripe sends receipts to the billing email you set on the Plan & Billing page. You can update this email at app.beside.com/settings/billing.

Not automatically. When you resubscribe, you're billed at the current rate shown in the app or web checkout, not the price you paid before. This is true even if your previous subscription used a promotional or legacy rate.
The only way to preserve an older rate is to keep your subscription active without canceling.
