Cancel your subscription

Cancel your Beside subscription on iPhone, Android, or web - including how to handle two active subscriptions if you recently upgraded through the app.

The cancellation process depends on where you originally subscribed (Apple, Google Play, or Stripe). Deleting the Beside app does not cancel your subscription, and canceling does not delete your account.


⚠️ Important before you cancel:

  • Deleting the Beside app does not cancel your subscription.

  • Canceling your subscription does not delete your Beside account or erase your data.

  • If you're on a free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

  • After canceling, your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period.

  • Canceling does not disable call forwarding. If you had call forwarding enabled, turn it off manually.

πŸ’‘ Two active subscriptions? If you upgraded through the in-app checkout (to add a seat or line), you may have two subscriptions - one with Apple/Google and one with Beside directly. You'll need to cancel both separately to stop all charges.


Cancel during your free trial

If you cancel during your 7-day free trial, you won't be charged anything. You'll keep full access to Beside for the remainder of your trial period. Follow the steps for your platform below.

  • iPhone: open iPhone Settings, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, then tap Beside

  • Android: open Google Play Store, then profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then tap Beside

  • Web (Stripe): go to app.beside.com, then Settings, then Plan and Billing


Cancel your Apple subscription (iPhone, iPad)

Subscriptions purchased via the Apple App Store are managed entirely by Apple.

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Tap your Apple ID (your name at the top)

  3. Tap Subscriptions, then select Beside

  4. Tap Cancel Subscription

You can also manage subscriptions from account.apple.com

πŸ“Œ Note: Apple does not allow Beside to cancel, change, or refund App Store subscriptions. If you can't find Beside in your Apple subscriptions, it may have been purchased on a different platform or with a different Apple ID.


Cancel your Google Play subscription (Android)

Subscriptions purchased via the Google Play Store are managed entirely by Google.

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Tap your profile picture (top right)

  3. Tap Payments and subscriptions

  4. Tap Subscriptions, then select Beside

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

You can also manage subscriptions from play.google.com.

πŸ“Œ Note: Google does not allow Beside to cancel, change, or refund Google Play subscriptions. If you can't find Beside, check that you're using the same Google account you used when you first subscribed.


Cancel your Beside subscription (web or desktop)

If you subscribed outside the App Store or Google Play, or if you upgraded through the in-app checkout, your subscription is managed directly by Beside.

Cancel from the web dashboard

  1. Sign in to your Beside account

  2. In the left sidebar, click Plan and Billing

  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Cancel subscription

Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your numbers will be held for 30 days before being removed.

Cancel a Beside Desktop subscription (macOS)

  1. Open Beside on macOS

  2. Open Settings (right-click the Beside icon in the macOS menu bar)

  3. Go to Team and Plan

  4. Click on Current plan

  5. You'll receive an email - open it and click Manage subscription

  6. This takes you to the Stripe customer portal - click Manage subscription and follow the steps to cancel


Turn off call forwarding before canceling

If you previously enabled call forwarding, make sure to disable it before canceling your subscription or deleting the Beside mobile app. If call forwarding remains active, incoming calls may continue to route to your Beside number.

⚠️ Important: Due to carrier restrictions, Beside can't disable call forwarding on your behalf. This must be done directly through your mobile carrier.


Delete your Beside account

FAQ

Do I lose access immediately when I cancel?

No. After canceling, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You'll keep full access to Beside until that date.

I'm on a free trial - will I be charged if I cancel now?

No. If you cancel during your free trial, you won't be charged anything. You'll also keep full access for the rest of the trial period.

Can Beside cancel my subscription for me?

Apple or Google Play: No - these subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple/Google.

Stripe (web/desktop): Yes - our support team can cancel it for you, or you can cancel at app.beside.com/settings.

I'm being charged twice after adding a seat. What should I do?

When you upgrade through the in-app checkout, you end up with two active subscriptions - one with Apple/Google and one with Beside directly. You need to cancel your Apple/Google subscription.

There are a few other ways double billing can happen too (resubscribing after a billing issue, and more). See the troubleshooting article for the full list and what to do in each case.

I can't find Beside in my subscriptions. What should I do?

Check all platforms: Apple subscriptions (with all Apple IDs you may have used), Google Play subscriptions (with all Google accounts), and whether your subscription is web-based (open Beside, then Settings, then Your Account, then Plan and Billing).

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Canceling does not delete your account or data. Your call history, transcripts, and contacts remain accessible. To permanently erase everything, delete your account separately.

Can I get a refund?

Apple: Submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Google Play: Go to play.google.com, then Payments and subscriptions, then Purchase history.

Stripe: Contact support via in-app chat or at [email protected].

If I cancel now and resubscribe later, will I get my current price back?

No. Resubscribing is treated as a new subscription at whatever rate is current at that moment - not the price you're paying today. This is true even if your current subscription uses a promotional or legacy rate.

The only way to keep your current price is to stay continuously subscribed without canceling. If you just want to pause for a short time, consider whether canceling is really necessary - prices can change between now and when you come back.
