Cancel your Beside subscription on iPhone, Android, or web - including how to handle two active subscriptions if you recently upgraded through the app.

⚠️ Important notes before you start

  • Deleting the Beside app does not cancel your subscription.

  • Canceling your subscription does not delete your Beside account or erase your data.

  • The cancellation process depends on where you originally subscribed (Apple, Google Play, or Stripe).

  • If you're on a free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged anything and you keep access until the trial ends.

  • Deleting the app or canceling your subscription does not disable call forwarding. If you had call forwarding enabled, you'll need to turn it off manually.

  • After canceling, your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period - you won't lose access immediately.

🟑 Recently added seats or switched to paying with your card?

If you upgraded through the in-app checkout (to add a seat or line), you may now have two active subscriptions - one with Apple or Google, and one with Beside directly. Canceling one does not cancel the other. You'll need to cancel both separately to stop all charges:

  • Cancel your Beside subscription - follow the Stripe steps below


Cancel during your free trial

If you're still within your 7-day free trial and want to cancel, you won't be charged anything as long as you cancel before the trial ends. You'll also keep full access to Beside for the remainder of your trial period.

The steps are the same as canceling a regular subscription - follow the instructions for the platform where you subscribed (Apple, Google Play, or Stripe) in the sections below.

  • iPhone: open iPhone Settings β†’ tap your Apple ID β†’ Subscriptions β†’ tap Beside - the renewal date is shown there.

  • Android: open Google Play Store β†’ profile icon β†’ Payments & subscriptions β†’ Subscriptions β†’ tap Beside.

  • Web (Stripe): open the Beside app β†’ Settings β†’ Manage Plan - the trial end date is displayed there.


Cancel your Apple subscription (iPhone, iPad)

Subscriptions purchased via the Apple App Store are managed entirely by Apple.

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Tap your Apple ID (your name at the top)

  3. Tap Subscriptions β†’ select Beside

  4. Tap Cancel Subscription

Cancel your Google Play subscription (Android)

Subscriptions purchased via the Google Play Store are managed entirely by Google.

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Tap your profile picture (top right)

  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions

  4. Tap Subscriptions β†’ select Beside

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

This usually means your subscription was purchased through a different platform - try the Apple or Stripe sections. It can also happen if you're signed into a different Google account. Check that you're using the same Google account you used when you first subscribed.


Cancel your Beside subscription (web or desktop)

If you subscribed outside the App Store or Google Play, or if you upgraded through the in-app checkout, your Beside subscription is managed directly - not through Apple or Google.

Cancel a Beside mobile subscription (web)

  1. Sign in to your Beside account

  2. In the left side bar, select Settings

  3. Under Current Plan, click Manage Plan

  4. You'll be redirected to the Stripe customer portal

  5. Click Update Subscription - you can cancel your plan there, or change your subscription if needed

Cancel a Beside Desktop subscription (macOS)

If you subscribed to Beside for macOS, you can cancel your subscription directly from the macOS app.

  1. Open Beside on macOS

  2. Open Settings (right-click the Beside icon in the macOS menu bar)

  3. Go to Team & Plan

  4. Click on Current plan

  5. You'll receive an email in your Google inbox - open it and click Manage subscription

  6. This will take you to the Stripe customer portal.

  7. Click Manage subscription again and follow the steps to cancel.

After cancellation, you'll receive a confirmation email. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. βœ…

Turn off call forwarding (mobile only)

If you previously enabled Call Forwarding, make sure to disable it before canceling your subscription or deleting the Beside mobile app.

If call forwarding remains active, incoming calls may continue to route to your Beside number, which can result in missed or undelivered calls.

🟑 Important note:

  • Due to carrier restrictions, Beside can't disable call forwarding on your behalf. This must be done directly through your mobile carrier.

  • If you're having trouble turning it off, we recommend contacting your carrier so they can reset your forwarding settings.


Delete your Beside account

Canceling your subscription does not delete your Beside account or erase your data.

FAQ

Do I lose access immediately when I cancel?

No. After canceling, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You'll keep full access to Beside until that date.

I'm on a free trial - will I be charged if I cancel now?

No. If you cancel during your 7-day free trial, you won't be charged anything. You'll also keep full access to Beside for the rest of the trial period. Just make sure to cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

Can Beside cancel my subscription for me?

It depends on where you subscribed:

  • Apple or Google Play: No. These subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple and Google. Beside has no ability to cancel, modify, or refund them on your behalf.

  • Stripe (web/desktop): Yes. If you subscribed via the web or desktop, our support team can cancel your subscription directly. You can also cancel yourself at app.beside.com/settings.

I added a seat or line through the app and now I'm being charged twice. What should I do?

When you upgrade through the in-app checkout, you end up with two active subscriptions - one with Apple or Google, and one with Beside directly. You need to cancel both separately to stop all charges. Cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription using the steps in the Apple or Google sections above, and cancel your Beside subscription using the Stripe steps above. Canceling one does not automatically cancel the other.

I can't find Beside in my subscriptions. What should I do?

This usually means the subscription was purchased on a different platform or with a different account. Try the following:

  • Check Apple subscriptions - if you ever signed into Beside with an Apple ID, the subscription may be there

  • Check Google Play subscriptions with all Google accounts you may have used

  • Check whether your subscription is web-based: open Beside β†’ Settings β†’ Manage Plan - if it says "You're subscribed on web", go to app.beside.com/settings to cancel

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Canceling your subscription does not delete your account or your data. Your call history, transcripts, and contacts remain accessible. If you want to permanently erase everything, you'll need to delete your account separately - see πŸ“– Delete your Beside account.

Can I get a refund?

It depends on where you subscribed:

  • Apple: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple β†’ reportaproblem.apple.com

  • Google Play: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Google β†’ play.google.com β†’ Payments & subscriptions β†’ Purchase history

  • Stripe (web/desktop): Contact our support team directly via the in-app chat or at [email protected]. We review all refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
