Delete your Beside account permanently - disable call forwarding first, cancel your subscription, and understand what happens to your data.


Deleting your Beside account permanently erases all your data. Before deleting, make sure to disable call forwarding and cancel your subscription to avoid missed calls and ongoing charges.

💡 Try troubleshooting first. If something isn't working as expected, deleting your account is rarely the right fix - and it can't be undone. If you're considering deletion because the app is misbehaving, contact our support team via the in-app chat first. Most issues can be resolved without deleting and losing your call history, messages, AI setup, and contacts.


Disable call forwarding first

⚠️ Important: Turn off call forwarding before deleting your account. If you don't, calls to your main number may continue being redirected to your Beside number even after deletion. Beside cannot disable call forwarding on your behalf - this must be done from your phone due to carrier restrictions.


Delete your account

  1. Open the Beside mobile app

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete

  4. Tap "Yes, Delete" to confirm

⚠️ Important - deletion is permanent and cannot be undone:

  • All your data is permanently erased: call history, messages, AI Receptionist setup, contacts, voicemails, and personal data.

  • Reinstalling the app will not bring anything back. If you sign up again after deletion, you start completely fresh - even if you reinstall on the same device with the same email or phone number, none of your previous data, settings, or AI training is restored.

  • You'll need to complete these steps yourself from your Beside mobile app. Our support team can't delete your account on your behalf, even if you request it.


Cancel your subscription

Deleting your Beside account does not cancel your subscription. You need to cancel separately through the platform where you subscribed (Apple, Google Play, or Stripe) to stop being charged.


FAQ

"Processing" still showing after deletion

If you still see the "Processing" banner or microphone icon after removing Beside, it usually means call forwarding wasn't fully turned off at the carrier or an iOS background process is stuck.

1. Turn off call forwarding: Open your phone Settings, then Phone, then Call Forwarding, and make sure it's off.

2. Restart your phone: Power off, wait 30 seconds, power back on.

3. Check microphone access: Go to Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Microphone. If Beside is still listed, toggle it off.

If it still appears, contact your carrier and ask them to confirm all call forwarding is fully disabled on your line.

Can I recover my account after deleting it?

No. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data is erased, including call history, messages, contacts, AI setup, and voicemails. Reinstalling the app or signing up again with the same email or phone number does not restore any of your previous data - you start fresh.

What happens to my phone number after I delete my account?

Your Beside number is released from your account almost immediately and cannot be recovered. The number stays available for about 15 days before it can be reassigned to another user, but you can't claim it during that window.

If you want to keep your number - whether you ported it in or it was assigned by Beside - you need to port it out before cancelling your subscription or deleting your account.
