You can manage your Beside account settings from the Beside mobile app or π Beside on the web at app.beside.com. This includes updating your profile, changing your email, and managing your login method.
Update your profile
On mobile
Your profile is limited to your name - that's the only field you can edit from Settings.
Open the Beside mobile app
Go to Settings
Tap Edit Name under your avatar
Update your first name and last name, then tap Done
On web
Your profile includes your first name, last name, timezone, and display Preferences (Appearance and Region).
Go to app.beside.com and sign in
Click Settings in the sidebar
Under Your account, click Profile
Under Information, click Edit to change your first name, last name, or timezone
Under Preferences, set your Appearance (Light, Dark, or System) and Region (used to show phone numbers without the country code)
π Email: Your email is tied to your sign-in method and is not editable from the Profile page on either platform. To change it, see π Change your login method.

Can I switch between light and dark mode in the app?
On the web app (app.beside.com): yes. Go to Settings β Profile β Preferences β Appearance and choose Light, Dark, or System (follows your device setting).
On the Beside mobile app: there's no in-app toggle - the app follows your phone's system appearance setting.
iPhone: Settings β Display & Brightness β Light or Dark
Android: Settings β Display β Light or Dark (or turn off Dark theme)
Reopen Beside and the appearance will update automatically.
What does the Region preference do?
What does the Region preference do?
The Region setting on the web app (Settings β Profile β Preferences β Region) tells Beside which country you mostly call. Phone numbers from your selected region are displayed without the country code, so US-based users with Region set to United States (+1) see numbers like (514) 312-3321 instead of +1 514 312 3321. Numbers from any other region keep their full international format.

No. Each email address can only be associated with one Beside account.
