If you signed up with Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email, you may want to switch to a different login method. Beside supports multiple ways to sign in, and you can update your method without losing your data.
Supported login methods
Apple Sign-In - sign in with your Apple ID
Google Sign-In - sign in with your Google account
Email - sign in with your email address
Email - sign in with your phone number
📌 Note: Your login method is tied to the email address or account you used when you first created your Beside account. Changing your login method does not change your account data, phone number, or subscription.
Switch your login method
Currently, switching login methods requires assistance from the Beside team. Here's what to do:
Open the Beside mobile app
Go to Settings
Tap the chat icon to contact support
Let us know which login method you'd like to switch to (Apple, Google, or email)
Our team will update your login method and confirm once it's done. You'll then be able to sign in using the new method.
Apple Sign-In and hidden email
If you signed up with Apple Sign-In and chose "Hide My Email", Apple generated a private relay address (ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com). This is the email linked to your Beside account.
If you want to switch to email login, you'll need to provide your real email address so our team can update your account. Your data and subscription will carry over.
Lost access to the number used for login
If you signed up with phone login but can no longer receive the verification code (your Beside number is your login number, your carrier number changed, or your SIM is no longer active), our team can switch you to a different login method once we've confirmed your identity.
How to request the change
Contact our support team via the in-app chat or at [email protected]
Tell us which method you'd like going forward (Apple, Google, email, or a different phone number)
Send a proof of ownership for the new phone number / email adress you want to use for login (see below)
Once we've verified your document, we'll update your login method and confirm in the chat. This usually takes less than 24 hours on business days.

We need one document that clearly shows both your full name and the new phone number:
A recent carrier bill or invoice (PDF or screenshot)
A screenshot of your carrier account page with your name and number visible

Make sure the new number can receive SMS and 2FA codes, so you can complete sign-in once we've made the change
Make sure your full name and the phone number are both readable on the document
You can hide billing amounts or other personal details if you prefer

If you can no longer access the email or Apple/Google account you used to sign up:
Try recovering your Apple ID at iforgot.apple.com
Try recovering your Google account at accounts.google.com

No. Changing your login method does not affect your call history, messages, contacts, AI Receptionist setup, or subscription. Everything stays the same.

When your login number is your Beside number (for example, after porting), the one-time code is delivered as an in-app notification inside Beside, not by SMS. Open the Beside mobile app on a device where you're still signed in, or on a second device, to grab the code.
