Connect Beside with Zoho

Connect Beside with Zoho CRM to automatically sync contacts and log calls, summaries, and outcomes. Set up per line on iPhone, Android, and Beside on the web - including how to pick your Zoho data center region.


Beside integrates natively with Zoho, letting you automatically sync contacts and log calls directly into your Zoho CRM. When a call comes in, Beside creates or updates the Zoho contact and logs the interaction with a summary, recording, and outcome.

What the Beside + Zoho integration does

The Beside Zoho integration syncs your incoming leads, caller details, and voice interactions directly into Zoho.

Once connected, you can:

  • Automatically create Zoho contacts from incoming calls and voicemails

  • Sync caller details extracted by the AI Receptionist (name, email, company, etc.)

  • Log phone calls and voicemails as activities in Zoho

  • Attach call summaries, outcomes, and recordings to Zoho contacts

  • Centralize all inbound communication from Beside into your Zoho CRM

This integration currently supports one-way sync (Beside β†’ Zoho).


Pick your Zoho data center region

Zoho hosts accounts in different data centers around the world, and each region uses a separate domain (for example .com, .ca, .eu, or .in). When you connect, Beside asks you to choose the region your Zoho account lives in so it authorizes against the right one.

In the Select your Zoho region step, pick the region that matches your Zoho account:

  • United States

  • Canada

  • United Kingdom

  • Europe

  • Australia

  • India

  • Japan

  • South Africa

  • Check the web address you use to sign in to Zoho - the domain ending tells you the region (e.g. zoho.com is United States, zoho.ca is Canada, zoho.eu is Europe, zoho.in is India).

  • Picking the wrong region will cause sign-in to fail. If that happens, disconnect and reconnect with the correct region.


Connect your Zoho account to Beside

Follow the steps that match your device:

πŸ“± Beside mobile app (iPhone and Android)

The flow is the same on iPhone and Android.

  1. Open Beside β†’ go to Settings

  2. Under Your account β†’ tap Integrations

  3. Select the line you want to connect (when you have multiple lines)

  4. Choose Zoho β†’ tap Connect

  5. In Select your Zoho region, pick the region your Zoho account is in β†’ tap Continue

  6. Sign into your Zoho account when prompted

  7. Review and approve the permissions Beside requests (read and write access to contacts, calls, and activity records)

You'll be redirected back to the Integrations screen, where Zoho will appear as "Connected". The integration is now live! βœ”οΈ

🌐 Beside on the web

  1. Go to app.beside.com and open Settings

  2. Click Phone Numbers and select the line you want to connect

  3. Open the Integrations tab

  4. Next to Zoho, click Connect

  5. In Select your Zoho region, pick the region your Zoho account is in β†’ click Continue

  6. Sign into your Zoho account when prompted, then review and approve the requested permissions (read and write access to contacts, calls, and activity records)

You'll be redirected back to the Integrations tab, where Zoho will appear as "Connected". The integration is now live! βœ”οΈ

πŸ“Œ One CRM per line: Each Beside line can only be connected to one CRM at a time. If the line is already connected to HubSpot or another CRM, disconnect it first before connecting Zoho.


How the sync works

Contact sync

  • New callers become Zoho contacts automatically

  • AI Receptionist-extracted details (name, email, company) are included when available

  • If no name is provided during the call, Beside creates a contact using the phone number

  • If new details appear in later calls or voicemails, the Zoho contact is updated automatically

  • Existing fields (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone) are not overwritten if already populated

Communication sync

Every voice interaction is logged in Zoho with:

  • Call summary

  • Recording (native upload or link)

  • Call direction (inbound / outbound)

  • Outcome (answered, AI Receptionist, Beside voicemail)

  • Link to the Beside call note

Disconnect Zoho from Beside

From the Beside mobile app (iPhone or Android):

  1. Open Beside β†’ go to Settings

  2. Under Your account, tap Integrations

  3. Select the line connected to Zoho

  4. Tap Zoho

  5. Tap Disconnect and confirm

From Beside on the web:

  1. Go to app.beside.com β†’ Settings β†’ Phone Numbers

  2. Select the line connected to Zoho

  3. Open the Integrations tab

  4. Next to Zoho, click Disconnect and confirm

Zoho will no longer appear as connected for that line. βœ”οΈ

⚠️ Important: Once disconnected, new calls and contacts will no longer sync to Zoho. Existing data already in Zoho will remain unchanged.


FAQ

How do I know which Zoho region to pick?

Your region matches the data center where your Zoho account is hosted, which you can tell from the domain you sign in with - for example zoho.com (United States), zoho.ca (Canada), zoho.eu (Europe), or zoho.in (India). Picking the wrong region will cause sign-in to fail. If that happens, disconnect and reconnect with the correct region.

Is two-way sync supported (Zoho β†’ Beside)?

Not yet. The integration currently syncs Beside β†’ Zoho only. Two-way sync is being explored for a future update.

Can I connect Zoho from the web app?

Yes. Zoho setup is available on Beside on the web at app.beside.com, per line, from Settings β†’ Phone Numbers β†’ [your line] β†’ Integrations. The setup steps are the same as on the Beside mobile app.

Can I connect Zoho from Android?

Yes. Zoho is fully supported on Android (parity with iPhone). The setup flow is the same: Settings β†’ Integrations, then select the line and choose Zoho.

Can I connect multiple Beside lines to the same Zoho account?

Yes. Each Beside line connects independently, so you can connect multiple lines to the same Zoho account. Each line syncs its own contacts and call logs.

Will caller details be auto-extracted from calls?

Yes. When a call is handled by the AI Receptionist, Beside automatically extracts the caller's name, email, and company and syncs them to Zoho. For regular calls, expanded AI extraction is coming soon.

Can I use both Zoho and Zapier on the same line?

Yes. The native Zoho integration and Zapier work independently and can be used together on the same Beside line to extend your workflows.
