Beside builds your website for you, then keeps working on it: it watches what changes about your business and improves the site week after week.
You do not need to design anything or write copy - and you are not limited to saying yes or no either. You can ask for changes in your own words. It all lives under Website, in the Grow section of the left menu.
Your site gets built for you
Building your website is one of the eight jobs in Beside's first pass, so it happens without you asking. Beside works from what it already read about you: your business details, your services, your photos, your reviews.
It goes live on a free Beside address straight away - yourbusiness.beside.page - so you have a working site from day one, before any question of buying a domain.
The Website Builder
Opening Website gives you your live site on the left and the controls around it:

Change it by asking
On the right, What do you want to change? is where you tell Beside what you want. There are shortcuts for the common ones:

And underneath, a box to type anything else - put the emergency number at the top, this photo instead of that one, we do not do boiler installs any more. You can attach a file or an image to go with it.
This is the part most owners do not expect. You do not file a ticket and wait, and you do not learn a page editor - you say what you want and look at the result.
💡 Read what comes back: Beside can get something wrong, exactly like a person you asked in a hurry. Look at the preview before you publish - that is what the preview is for.
Your web address
You start on a free .beside.page address, ready immediately and nothing to set up.
When you want your own domain - the one on your van and your invoices - connect it from the Domains tab. It is a separate step on purpose: your site is live and working long before you have to think about it.
What Beside does on its own
Once a week, the Website Health Monitor re-reads everything you have connected, compares it against your live site, and looks for gaps worth closing:
New photos of your business from your Google Business Profile or Instagram
New reviews worth showing as testimonials
Hours, phone number, or address that have changed somewhere else
Wording that does not match the ad currently bringing you the most customers
A service people keep asking for that is not listed anywhere
A typical proposal: callers keep asking about rescheduling an appointment across nine recent calls, but it is nowhere on the site - so Beside suggests adding it to your services list, in the words callers actually use, and only if you genuinely offer it.

Your photos and reviews on your site
Beside gathers every image it can find of your business - from your existing site, your Instagram and your Google Business Profile - and sorts them by what they actually show: your team, your work, your storefront, your logo.
A daily job then pulls your real photos and reviews onto your site. Your own photos fill the galleries on your home and service pages, and your strongest reviews become a testimonials wall in the words your customers actually wrote, attributed to them.
The reviews are also published in a form search engines can read, which helps them show up alongside your business in search results.

That is entirely your choice, and it is the Website setting in Autonomy. On Ask first, nothing goes live without you. On Auto, Beside publishes on your behalf - which is the point of choosing it.
Either way, nothing is untraceable: every published change is recorded with who decided it.

Yes - by asking. Use What do you want to change? in the builder and describe what you want in plain words. There is no page editor to learn and nothing to drag around.

No. Your site works from day one on its free .beside.page address. Connecting your own domain is something you can do later, from the Domains tab, whenever you are ready.
