❓ Why can’t I text myself?
If you’ve tried to send a text message from your primary number to your Beside number and it didn’t show up, here’s why:
Beside currently does not display private chats with yourself.
The message is delivered in the background, but the app simply doesn’t show that conversation.
🎉 Good news: a fix is coming!
We’re working on an update that will allow Beside to display private chats with your own number.
Once this improvement is released, you’ll be able to:
Send a message from your primary number to your Beside number
See the full conversation in your Inbox
This will make testing and verifying your Beside number much clearer.
🧪 What can you do in the meantime?
If you want to test that your Beside number is working, we recommend using a different phone number (not your own).
For example:
Use a friend’s or colleague’s phone to send a message or call your Beside number.
This will help you confirm everything is functioning correctly.
