Yes, you can share your Beside lines with your team on the Business plan 👥.
With the Business plan, you can collaborate in real time on calls, messages, voicemails, and AI Receptionist activity, all from the same shared phone number.
⚠️ Beside line sharing is not available on the Starter plan 👤.
How team collaboration works
When you sign up, Beside automatically creates your first line. This is where all your calls, messages, and AI Receptionist activity live.
Upgrading to the Business plan lets you:
Add multiple members to your account
Share phone numbers across your team
Collaborate on calls, messages, and AI activity
Create internal group chats
Web billing management from the Beside web app
How Beside Business plan pricing works
The Business plan includes: 3 seats and 3 lines.
🔢 You (the account owner) count as 1, so that's 2 additional seats and 2 additional lines available from the start, at no extra cost.
Seats and lines are counted at the account level, not per line. This means:
You can invite team members to one or several of your shared lines - it doesn't affect your seat count
A team member added to 3 different shared lines still only occupies 1 seat
You can add lines and invite team members independently - there's no required order. Here's what triggers an extra charge:
What you're adding | Cost |
A 4th seat (team member) | $29.99/seat/month - also unlocks 1 extra line |
A 4th line (without adding a seat) | $4.99/line/month |
📌 Adding a seat always unlocks 1 additional line. Adding a line on its own does not unlock a seat.
How to invite team members to your Beside line
Open the Beside app
Go to Settings → scroll down to Your Account
Tap Members → tap Invite Member
Enter your teammate's email address
Select which line(s) you want them to access (a team member can be added to one, several, or all of your lines at no extra cost) → tap Send invite
Your team member will receive an invitation by email. They'll simply need to tap Accept invitation and follow the steps, including selecting their role in the team.
ℹ️ Once they’ve joined, members will have access to the full history of every line they've been invited to, including calls, messages, voicemails, and AI Receptionist interactions.
How to review & manage your team's access
From Settings → Your Account → Members, you can:
Resend an invite: tap Resend next to a pending member's name
Cancel an invite: tap a pending member's name → tap Cancel Invitation
Edit line access: tap an active member's name → update which lines they can access
Remove a member: tap an active member's name → tap Remove
What your team members can do
Team members have full visibility into everything that appears in your Beside line, including:
Calls & call summaries
Messages
Voicemails
Voice memos
AI Receptionist call logs & transcripts
They also have access to the entire conversation history, not just activity that happens after they join.
🔒 What remains private
Your device’s contact list stays private
Even if you granted Beside access to your phone contacts, team members only see phone numbers.
However, they will see phone numbers of people you've called or messaged through Beside, to help with collaboration - without exposing your full contact list.
