Ads, in the Grow section of the left menu, opens the Ads Manager: how your paid acquisition is really performing, and what Beside is doing about it.
The point of this page is not to show you clicks. It is to tell you whether your ads are making you money.
Your Google Ads account
Beside works on your own Google Ads account, connected at the top of the page - you will see which account it is linked to and which email it was connected with. If you manage several, you pick the one Beside should work on, and it is marked In use.
Nothing is moved into a Beside account. Your campaigns, your history and your billing stay where they are.
What your ads actually brought in
Six numbers, over 7, 30 or 90 days:
Number | What it means |
ROAS | Revenue earned for every $1 spent on ads |
Spent | Total ad spend across all connected platforms |
Attributed revenue | Invoiced revenue traced to customers who came from ads |
Revenue after ad spend | That revenue minus what you spent, before your operating costs |
Leads | Distinct people who first reached you through these ads |
Customers | Ad-sourced leads who received a valid invoice |
Underneath, Beside says it in one sentence, without softening it: For every $1 you spent on ads, you made $0.6. Losing money, down 89% vs. prior period.
💡 Leads and Customers are real people: See who takes you to their contact records. Ad performance here is not an anonymous conversion count - you can open the person and read the call.
How Beside knows a customer came from an ad
It matches three things against your contact records:
Form submissions from your landing pages
Calls captured by Beside Phone
Messages from your Google Business Profile
Then it follows which of those contacts became paying customers. That is why the number it shows you is invoiced revenue rather than a platform's own estimate of a conversion.
🟡 If you see a Tracking issue: Fix it before judging or scaling a campaign. Until attribution is working, the revenue figures underneath it are incomplete - and a campaign can look like a failure only because Beside cannot see what it produced.
Your campaigns
Every campaign is listed with whether it is Active or Paused, its daily budget, and its own spend, clicks, click-through rate, leads, revenue and ROAS. Stats opens the detail for one of them.
You are not locked out of your own account: campaigns can be paused and managed from here, and from Google Ads directly.
How Beside works on your ads
Every three days, the Optimize Google Ads automation runs one cycle. Beside reads the last two weeks of performance and of the searches people actually typed, works out where the biggest gain is, and picks a single change rather than fiddling with everything at once.
You can see the automation's cadence, its last and next run, and pause it entirely from your Beside Agent page.
What it may do by itself
Your autonomy for Ads covers campaign builds, optimizations and account changes, on the usual three levels - Ask first, Routine, Auto.
✅ A launch that spends money always asks you first: This holds at every autonomy level, including Auto. Raising your autonomy on Ads lets Beside handle the optimization work - budgets, negative keywords, creatives, schedules. It never hands over the decision to start spending.
Launching for the first time
Starting ads is not a single button. Beside builds a complete Search campaign - targeting, bidding, creative, callouts and conversion setup - and reviews the whole thing before proposing anything.
It then walks the launch in phases and stops for your approval between each one, so you are never more than one step from changing your mind.
Local Services Ads
If you see Needs setup next to Local Services Ads, Google is still missing an account, a profile or a verification step on your side. View setup tells you which. This is Google's process, not Beside's, and it has to be completed with them.
Go deeper
Reports opens the evidence behind the numbers, at whichever level you want to look: customer, campaign, ad, keyword, search term or bidding strategy. Choose a date range - up to a year - and the columns you care about, from the essentials to well over a hundred optional metrics.
You can download the full report as a CSV, untruncated, if you would rather work in a spreadsheet or hand it to someone else.
Beside also keeps a running Google Ads: Performance report in your Library, updated each cycle, alongside its research on what customers around you search for and where you rank. 📖 Add your own documents to Beside
Ad spend and credits are two different things
Your ad spend is real money and goes through your own Google Ads account, on the daily budgets set per campaign. Beside never spends it without asking: a launch comes to you at every autonomy level, and you can pause any campaign at any time.
Credits are what Beside's work costs, and they come out of your plan:
An optimization that ships - budget, negative keywords, creatives, schedules - is 50 credits
A campaign launched is 2,500 credits
Drafting creative costs nothing, because nothing ships
FAQ
Can Beside change my campaigns on its own?
Can Beside change my campaigns on its own?
It depends on your Ads autonomy level. On Ask first, every change waits for you. On Routine or Auto, Beside handles the optimization work itself.
The one thing that never changes: a launch that spends money comes to you, at every level.
Do I need my own Google Ads account?
Do I need my own Google Ads account?
Yes, and that is deliberate. Beside connects to the account you already have rather than running your ads inside a Beside account, so your campaigns, your history and your relationship with Google stay yours.
How do I stop my ads quickly?
How do I stop my ads quickly?
Pause the campaigns themselves - from the campaign list here, or in Google Ads. That stops the spend.
Pausing the Optimize Google Ads automation on your Beside Agent page is a different thing: it stops Beside working on your campaigns, but the campaigns keep running.
The numbers say they are not up to date.

Beside shows you the last saved results while it catches up with Google Ads, rather than an empty page. They refresh on their own.
Beside says I am losing money on my ads. Now what?
Beside says I am losing money on my ads. Now what?
First check whether attribution is working - a Tracking issue makes a healthy campaign look like a failure. If the tracking is sound, the number is real, and it is exactly the situation the three-day optimization cycle exists for.
Being told plainly is the point. Most businesses discover this after a year of invoices.
