Blocking a contact in Beside prevents them from reaching you through your Beside number - including calls, voicemails, and text messages. Their attempts won't appear in your call history or line.
How to block a contact
You can block a contact directly from a conversation. Open the line where the conversation appears, then use one of these two options:
From the conversation list: long-press on the conversation, then tap Block Contact
From inside the conversation: tap the contact's name or number at the top of the screen, then tap Block
📌 Blocking is per line. If you manage multiple lines on a 👥 Business plan, blocking a contact on one line does not block them on your other lines. Each line has its own separate block list.
What happens when you block someone
Once blocked, the contact cannot call or text your Beside number, cannot leave voicemails, and their attempts won't appear in your line or call history. Blocking in Beside does not affect your primary carrier number - to block someone on your carrier line, use the native iOS or Android "Block this caller" option.

Open the Beside mobile app
Go to Settings
On a 👥 Business plan, select the line you want to manage first
Scroll down to the Privacy section
Tap Blocked to view or unblock contacts
Current limitations
Blocking from the contact list is not supported - you can only block from an active conversation. The contact list mirrors your phone's native Contacts app and doesn't support blocking directly.
Blocking other Beside accounts is not currently supported.

Not directly from the block list - you can only block from an existing conversation. If the number has never contacted you, it won't appear in your line. If you receive a call or text from them first, you can then block them from that conversation.

Blocking is per line on Beside. If you have multiple lines on a Business plan, check that you've blocked the contact on all relevant lines - each has its own block list. Also make sure they're not reaching you through your primary carrier number, which Beside blocking doesn't affect.

Yes. Go to Settings → select your line (Business plan) → scroll to Privacy → tap Blocked. Tap the contact and select Unblock. They'll be able to reach you again immediately.
