See your Call Flow at a glance

Beside's Call Flow shows how an incoming call is handled on a line - forwarding, Silence Unknown Callers, Blocked Numbers, Ringing Mode, Business Hours, and your Receptionist fallback - all in one screen, with quick links to change any setting.

Call Flow is a single screen that shows exactly how an incoming call to a Beside line is handled, step by step - whether it can even reach the line, what skips ringing, how it rings, and what happens if nobody picks up. Instead of hunting across separate settings, you see everything that shapes an incoming call in one place.

Use it any time you want to double-check why a call was or wasn't handled the way you expected, or to quickly jump into any of the settings that affect ringing.

Open Call Flow

  1. Open the Beside mobile app and go to Settings

  2. If you have multiple lines, tap the line you want to check under Phone Numbers

  3. Under Calls, tap Call Flow

📌 Platform: Call Flow is confirmed available on the Beside mobile app on iPhone. We haven't verified its layout on Android or on Beside on the web yet.

What Call Flow shows

Call Flow groups the settings that affect an incoming call into four sections, in the order a call actually moves through them. Tap any row to jump straight to that setting - Call Flow doesn't hold separate settings of its own, it's a shortcut to the ones you already have.

Can calls reach this line?

  • Forwarding - whether your existing carrier number is forwarding calls into this line

  • Beside Number - whether your Beside number itself can receive calls

Who skips ringing?

  • Silence Unknown Callers - sends callers not in your contacts straight to your Receptionist or voicemail, without ringing

  • Blocked Numbers - contacts you've blocked, who can't reach this line at all

How should calls ring?

  • Ringing Mode - whether calls ring first before falling back, or skip straight to your Receptionist or voicemail

  • Your Alerts - whether this line's calls are muted for you personally

  • Business Hours - the schedule that controls when the line is active

When you don't pick up

  • Receptionist - whether your AI Receptionist answers calls you don't pick up

  • Traditional Voicemail - the classic voicemail greeting used for excluded contacts, or when your Receptionist is off

  • Excluded Contacts - contacts who bypass your Receptionist entirely

FAQ

Does Call Flow change my settings, or just show them?

Call Flow doesn't hold any settings of its own - it's a shortcut view. Tapping a row takes you to that setting's actual screen, where any change you make applies the same as if you'd opened it directly from elsewhere in Settings.

I used to find Silence Unknown Callers, Business Hours, or Blocked Contacts under Notifications - where did they go?

They now live in Call Flow, under Who skips ringing? and How should calls ring?. The settings themselves haven't changed - only where you find them.

Is Call Flow available on Android or Beside on the web?

Call Flow is confirmed on the Beside mobile app on iPhone. We haven't verified the exact layout on Android or on Beside on the web yet - if you don't see it, the individual settings it links to (Silence Unknown Callers, Business Hours, Ringing Mode, and so on) are still available from their usual places in Settings.

Does Call Flow work differently if I have multiple lines?

Call Flow always shows the settings for one line at a time. If you have multiple lines, tap the line you want to check under Phone Numbers first, then open Call Flow for that line.
