Run several businesses from one account

Add a second business to your Beside account, switch between them, and understand what each one has of its own - its agent, its plan, its credits, and its data.

If you run more than one business, you can keep them all under the same Beside login and switch between them - each with its own agent working on it.

📌 Two different kinds of "several":

  • Several businesses is this article: separate businesses, separate agents, separate plans.

  • Several people in one business - shared lines, roles, teammates - is a different thing. 📖 Manage your organization

Add a business

  1. Select your business name at the bottom of the left menu

  2. Choose Create New Business

Beside then does for the new one what it did for your first: it looks it up, reads what is public about it, and starts its own first pass.

Switch between them

Same place: your business name at the bottom of the left menu, then Switch Business. Everything on screen follows - the agent's work, the customers, the website, the reviews, the credits.

You are always looking at exactly one business at a time. There is no combined view across all of them.

What each business has of its own

Businesses are kept genuinely separate. That is the point - your plumbing company and your rental business should not share a website, a customer list, or a reputation.

Its own

Shared across your account

Its agent and everything it does

Your login

Its plan and its credits

Its customers and its Library

Its website, listing, reviews and ads

Its connected tools

⚠️ Each business is billed on its own. A second business means a second subscription, with its own monthly credits. Credits never move between businesses - running low on one does not draw from another.

When to use a second business, and when not to

Create a second business when it really is a different business to your customers: a different name, a different website, its own Google listing, its own reviews.

Do not create one for:

  • A second location of the same business - that belongs to the same business, with its service areas set accordingly

  • A second phone line - lines are managed on your existing account. 📖 Add phone lines to your account

  • A teammate - invite them into the business you already have

Splitting one business in two gives each half of your history, which makes both agents worse at their job.

FAQ

Do my credits cover all my businesses?

No. Credits belong to one business and stay there. Each business has its own plan, its own monthly allowance, and its own balance.

Do I pay twice?

Yes - each business carries its own subscription, because each one gets its own agent working full-time on it. There is no shared pool.

Can my agent see my other business?

No. Each agent only sees the business it belongs to - its customers, its Library, its connected tools. Nothing crosses over.

How do I remove a business?

Ask us from the Support chat in the app, or write to [email protected]. Removing a business ends its subscription and its agent's work, so we handle it with you rather than leaving it as a button.
