By default, Beside records calls to provide summaries, transcripts, and full call context.
You can, however, exclude individual contacts from call recording, useful when:
You use Beside for both personal and professional calls
A caller has asked not to be recorded
You don’t need transcripts for certain contacts
🔧 How to turn off call recording for a specific contact
1. Open the conversation with that contact in the Beside app
2. Tap the Receptionist icon next to the message composer
3. Toggle off Call recording
That contact's calls with you will no longer be recorded.
However, if the AI Receptionist handles the call instead of you, a transcript may still be generated.
